Excellent craftsmanship, fair pricing, quality products, timeliness… these are just some of the adjectives that can describe Joe Grenus Carpentry. We were lucky to hear about Joe and his business 13 years ago when we were planning our first home upgrade. I had drawn up my ideas and Joe was able to work from them without needing an architectural drawing. He met with us, gave us a quote (which never changed, by the way. Joe has no hidden fees.) and came to start the project on time. Two years later we hired him again to build a large sunroom addition to our home. This time we wanted to have the project done in time for our daughter’s wedding shower….only three months from the start date. Without cutting corners, Joe went above and beyond to help us meet this goal. We still get many compliments on this room and much of the credit goes to Joe’s superior craftsmanship. We would strongly recommend Joe Grenus to anyone who is looking for a quality carpenter to make your home project a reality.

Joe is masterful! He is not afraid to take on a challenge. We hired Joe for 2 Home makeovers (CT & VT) & they were absolutely not run of the mill projects!! Joe quietly thinks about how he can take your plan to completion & he makes it happen. We can't say enough good things about the work Joe does. My husband and I bought a house built in 1890 knowing that we would add on to it eventually. When the time was right, we knew there was only one person to call: Joe Grenus. It's no easy feat tying new construction seamlessly into antiquated building techniques...not to mention the surprises that are found when, for example, tearing down lathe and plaster walls or replacing 100 year old roof rafters. Joe is able to take on any challenge that is thrown at him, and if he struggles to find a solution, the homeowner would never know it. We drew up our addition plans ourselves; no architectural drawings whatsoever. But we knew it would be fine because Joe has this ability to just look at a house and see the bones underneath. He knows exactly what to do whether your plans are drawn on a napkin or drafted professionally. And if there is a better way than what you envisioned, he won't hesitate to tell you. He is reliable, talented, fairly priced, and maybe best of all, he doubles as your dog sitter for the entire duration of the project. We will use Grenus Carpentry again for our next addition, and highly recommend him to anyone looking!

We have used Joe Grenus' carpentry services for more than 10 years. He has remodeled our kitchen and bath, as well as outside home repairs. He is always timely; his sub-contractors are professional, courteous and clean. Joe is fastidious in his work, honest, and very competitively priced. At this point I will only have Joe work on our house.
